The introductory training for ECO SYSTEM programme grantees gathered more than 30 participants who represented 12 networks from all over Serbia. The three-day training was held in Belgrade, from September 15 to 17, organized by the Young Researchers of Serbia. The training was created for grantees whose 13 projects have been supported through ECO SYSTEM programme.
The introductory training is part of a series of trainings that will take place over the course of the grantees’ project implementation, since one of the ECO SYSTEM programme’s main components is the strengthening and capacity building of civil society organizations through education and support.
“We did not want this program to be reduced to grant forwarding – we want to support our partners in every other way, to support them in developing and promoting their projects. We also want to build knowledge and skills together, to use them in our future work on environmental protection in Serbia”, explained the coordinator of the ECO SYSTEM program, Tijana Ljubenović.
The first day of the training was dedicated to the presentation of projects and networking of partner organizations, as well as a lecture on the implementation of action plans and monitoring plans.
During the second day, we learned more about project risks and communication with citizens, talked about gender equality and held training in the field of internal controls and internal organization.
On the third day, we held a small “ECO SYSTEM fair”, which was an opportunity for participating networks and organizations to share their promotional materials and present their previous activities outside the ECO SYSTEM projects.
These activities are part of the ECO SYSTEM program implemented by Young Researchers of Serbia, and supported by Sweden. You can read about the projects we supported within the program HERE.
